Be the Face Behind Student Vision 

Associated Students Inc. (ASI) at Cal State Fullerton is seeking a Project Coordinator – Capital Planning to coordinate and communicate with campus stakeholders throughout the construction of a brand-new wellness center. This is your opportunity to channel your expertise in construction and project coordination into an initiative brought forward by student advocacy, big ideas, and tangible change. 

About the Role & Key Responsibilities:   

This is not just another project role—it’s a front-row seat to one of the most impactful infrastructure investments driven by student vision and funded by student dollars. You’ll be the boots-on-the-ground liaison to campus capital planning while reporting directly to ASI’s Chief of Organizational Operations. 

  • Coordinate Construction Communication: Represent ASI in all project meetings with CSUF Capital Programs & Facilities Management. 
  • Track Budgets & Schedules: Monitor timelines, mitigate risks, and ensure quality control in collaboration with campus-side project managers. 
  • Be the Liaison Leader: Serve as the primary point of contact between ASI stakeholders (students, board members, staff) and campus facility teams. 
  • Champion Student-Centered Planning: Ensure construction aligns with the ASI Student Wellness Initiative (ASWI) goals. 

 

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s or PMP preferred. 
  • Experience: 3–4 years managing complex capital or facilities projects. Higher ed experience is a plus. 
  • Skills: You’ve got construction knowledge, project planning chops, and professional polish to engage with C-suite and campus leaders. You’re proactive, adaptive, and thrive in collaborative environments. 

 

Salary: $85,000–$95,000/year 

Work Schedule: The role will be on-site 5 days/week and will be highly visible to university leadership and the students that are supporting this initiative. 

Please Note: This is a 4-year contract position.

Special Requirements:  

  • Employment will be contingent on a satisfactory employment history and criminal background investigation. 
  • May be required to drive occasionally as needed. Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance must be on file at all times and must meet CSURMA driving standards. 
  • Required to be a Mandatory Reporter and sign the ASI Mandatory Reporter Form.
