Another Source’s client, Florida State University (FSU), is recruiting a Senior Security Guard to join their team on-site in Tallahassee, FL.

Senior Security Guards may be assigned to high-profile campus locations such as the Student Union, the President’s House, general patrol duties, or other key sites depending on operational needs. 

As a Senior Security Guard, you’ll serve as a highly visible and approachable presence in key areas of campus such as: 

  • The Student Union 
  • The President’s House 
  • Routine patrol zones 
  • Other campus locations as needed 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Patrolling assigned areas and reporting suspicious or emergency situations 
  • Providing directions and assistance to students, staff, and visitors 
  • Supporting policy adherence and campus safety practices 
  • Monitoring via dispatch radio and responding appropriately 
  • Acting as a liaison with law enforcement and emergency personnel 

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • One year of relevant experience (or a combination of post-high school education and experience totaling at least one year) 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Must meet the requirements of Chapter 493, Florida Statutes (Security Licensing) 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Experience in campus, corporate, or public security 
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond with sound judgment 
  • Familiarity with incident reporting procedures and radio communication protocols 

What’s In It For You: 

Salary: $33,000 with opportunity for overtime at special campus events 

Relocation assistance is not offered for this role. 

Work Schedule: 

The role will involve two shifts: 7am-3pm; 3pm-11pm
