About the role:
The Director of Prospect Management and Strategy serves as a key architect in advancing Cal State Fullerton’s fundraising strategy through data-driven insights, targeted prospect research, and thoughtful pipeline development. This role leads the design and execution of a comprehensive prospect management system, leveraging advanced data tools and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to identify, analyze, and prioritize prospective donors across all colleges and programs. This position offers a distinctive opportunity to build and elevate a high-impact prospect management function from the ground up.
The team welcomes candidates with transferable experience who may be entering philanthropy or advancement for the first time. Success in this role will require a blend of analytical fluency and strategic collaboration, someone who can not only interpret and apply data but also work effectively across a diverse institutional landscape. Curiosity, initiative, and persistence in uncovering insights from data are essential, as is the ability to cultivate strong relationships and serve as a trusted partner to fundraisers and campus stakeholders.
