TCCS Campus Safety and Emergency Services is a team of ~45 and is not a sworn force. 

The Claremont Colleges Services (TCCS) is the shared services organization supporting the renowned Claremont Colleges consortium — seven distinctive institutions including Pomona, Scripps, Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pitzer, Claremont Graduate University, and Keck Graduate Institute. Key Responsibilities 

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of TCCS, you will: 

  • Lead and oversee all Campus Safety operations for the seven Claremont Colleges. 
  • Develop and implement comprehensive emergency preparedness, response, and recovery programs. 
  • Ensure compliance with Clery, Title IX, California Penal Code, and other federal and state regulations. 
  • Build strong partnerships with campus leadership, student deans, faculty, and local law enforcement. 
  • Supervise a team that includes a Lieutenant, Clery Compliance Coordinator, and Administrative Assistant. 
  • Manage budgets, policies, and strategic planning for safety and emergency services.

Salary:  Up to $200,000

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field required; Master’s preferred 
  • Five or more years in law enforcement, campus/public safety, or related fields with supervisory and budget oversight 
  • Demonstrated leadership in emergency preparedness and response 
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid PPO Qualifying Manager certification issued by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) within 12 months of employmentPrior to certification, must actively complete all required BSIS coursework, examinations, and background clearance steps.  
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and team development skills 
  • A forward-thinking, collaborative approach to safety in a diverse academic community
