Another Source’s client, Strength United, is recruiting an Associate Director of Intervention Services to join their team in Northridge, California. 

About the Opportunity 

Strength United’s mission is to transform trauma and violence into empowerment, advance systemic healing, and develop leaders for lasting change. 
 
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Associate Director of Intervention Services provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for all clinical programs, ensuring the integrity, compliance, and excellence of trauma-informed care. This licensed professional will serve as second in command when the Executive Director is unavailable and will play a critical role in policy development, program design, grant management, and community partnerships. 
 
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician and leader to shape programs that promote healing and empowerment for individuals impacted by trauma and violence. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Program Oversight: Oversee day-to-day clinical programming across all Strength United (SU) locations across the community, ensuring all services comply with ethical, legal, and state regulations. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partners to meet productivity and grant targets.

  • Program Design and Implementation: Lead the design, execution, and compliance of direct service programs and field-site student training, in collaboration with the Executive Director.

  • Policy and Procedure Development: Review, revise, and create policies rooted in trauma-informed care, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Provide staff evaluations, corrective action plans, and performance management as needed.

  • Data Management & Quality Assurance: Use data-driven forecasting to monitor program performance, client outcomes, and staffing ratios. Identify and implement solutions for underperforming areas.

  • Financial and Grant Oversight: Coordinate with the Associate Director of Accounting and Payroll to ensure budgets, staffing allocations, and grant expenditures align with funding requirements. Participate in the identification, development, and submission of grant and foundation proposals. 
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute long-term strategic goals and planning initiatives for clinical service delivery and organizational growth.

  • Staff Supervision and Evaluation: Directly supervise Clinical Program Managers and Supervisors, providing mentorship, feedback, and performance reviews. Responsible for hiring, disciplinary action, and staff development in coordination with HR.

  • Training and Representation: Represent the organization in professional settings and deliver trainings or presentations as needed.

Qualifications 

  • Advanced degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited program; active California license (Psychologist, LCSW, or LMFT) or ability to obtain within one year if licensed in another state. 
  •  
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience; open to emerging leaders from community, university, or private practice settings. 
  •  
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to engage staff, funders, and community partners effectively. 
  •  
  • Experience or strong interest in trauma-focused, equity-based services aligned with Strength United’s mission and values. 
  •  
  • Innovative and tech-savvy professional with strategic thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to use data for decision-making. 
  •  
  • Proven ability to work effectively in diverse, multicultural environments and represent the organization through grant writing, public speaking, and collaboration. 

Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000

Physical Requirements and Work Environment 

Primarily office-based with moderate noise level. Regular in-person, phone, and written communication with staff, clients, and partners. Occasional lifting or positioning of objects up to 20 lbs. Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
