About this role:
This newly created executive leadership position represents a significant investment in the future of student engagement and campus life at CSULB.
Reporting to the Executive Director and serving as a key member of the Student Auxiliary Enterprises leadership team, the Chief Student Involvement Officer will provide strategic leadership across a broad portfolio of student-facing departments, programs, services, facilities, and partnerships. This leader will play a central role in shaping how students experience community, involvement, wellness, recreation, leadership development, and campus connection.
The scope is both highly visible and deeply impactful, spanning student government, student unions, recreation and wellness, events and programming, media, basic needs initiatives, vendor partnerships, and auxiliary operations. The Chief Student Involvement Officer will collaborate closely with campus leadership, student leaders, ASI senior staff, and CSU stakeholders to ensure programs and facilities evolve alongside the changing needs of today’s students.

The anticipated salary range for this position is approximately $190,000–$200,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
